Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Kubernetes Software Developer. In this role, you will perform tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience with Kubernetes, Bash and/or Python, and Linux.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.
In this role, you will support project initiatives as a Container and Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert to package, install, and deploy containerized capabilities to Navy systems.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related discipline and 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent education/professional experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong background integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, K3s) and related tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Helm for packaging and managing Kubernetes applications.
- Solid expertise in Linux development, integration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Bash and/or Python
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Desired Skills• Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with C++ and Java software development
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
