Full Job Description
Position Summary

Solenis is seeking a driven Key Account Manager to manage and expand a portfolio of pulp mill accounts, serving as a key partner to customers by delivering both process expertise and commercial value. This individual will act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring strong relationship management, reliable program performance, and sustained business growth across the territory.

The role is primarily focused on pulp mill operations and process optimization, with additional value placed on experience supporting broader mill systems such as recovery, power, and water treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships within assigned pulp mill accounts
  • Provide hands-on technical support focused on pulp mill processes, including fiber processing and overall mill performance optimization
  • Review and optimize chemical treatment programs through routine monitoring, performance analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to mill personnel by delivering process-focused solutions that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Partner closely with customer teams on-site to support operational performance, process stability, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide support across broader mill systems as needed, including:
    • Recovery and power systems (preferred)
    • Water and utility systems (secondary to pulp-focused responsibilities)
  • Conduct on-site training and technical engagement with plant personnel
  • Develop and execute sales plans to identify and capture new business opportunities within the mill
  • Manage account profitability, including pricing, chemical usage, and receivables
  • Drive safety initiatives and promote best practices at customer sites


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered)
  • Previous experience working in or directly supporting pulp mill operations (required)
  • Strong knowledge of pulp processing and mill operations (required)
  • Experience supporting recovery, power systems, or boiler water chemistry (preferred, not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide hands-on technical support in a pulp mill environment
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a field-based role

The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,410.00 and $107,657.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
