Full Job Description
We are seeking junior to senior-level associates with knowledge of quantum computing to join the Electrical & Computer Technologies (ECT) group of our Prosecution & Counseling department. This position can be based in our Boston, New York, or Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities include:
  • Works closely with clients and inventors at all stages of the patent process
  • Prepares, files, and prosecutes U.S. patent applications for complex quantum computing technologies
  • Prepare responses to office actions and make patent application secondary filing decisions that maximize the scope of protection in view of Company's strategic goals
  • Conducts freedom-to-operate, infringement, and patentability analyses

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study
  • Knowledge of Quantum computing, preferably knowledge of photonic quantum computing, quantum error correction, quantum computing architectures
  • Graduated with a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to the USPTO
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings

The expected salary range for this position is $240,000 - $390,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
