About Your Role

A Junior Construction Scheduler assists in developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules to support successful construction project execution. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and senior schedulers to track activities, monitor progress, and identify schedule impacts. The Junior Scheduler helps prepare short-term and long-term schedules, updates progress reports, and supports coordination of labor, materials, and equipment to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Strong attention to detail, basic construction knowledge, and familiarity with scheduling software are essential for this role.

Education Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management


What You'll Need to Get the Job Done

  • One (1) year of full time paid professional experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
  • Superior organizational and planning skills

What You'll Do

  • Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction
    schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule
    updates based on LAUSD review templates.
  • Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and
    P6 software.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Performs QA/QC on contractors' schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and requirements.
  • Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to
    ensure data integrity.
  • Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with
    scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from
    various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.
