As a Junior Quality Engineer, you will be challenged-and trusted-on day one to safeguard and improve the quality of our core products. In this mission-critical work, you will verify that software is performing as designed, document test results and implications, plan and implement new test strategies, and grow in your knowledge of our software.

What we're looking for- A bachelor's degree in computer science or another engineering or science discipline, or completion of a software development boot camp and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of core programming concepts and basic proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Understanding of software testing concepts and methodology
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate technical topics in documents and conversations
- Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be a US person (a US citizen, a US national, or a Green Card holder)
The following isn't required, but we'd love to see it:
- Proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestRail, React Testing Library, Postman, or similar
- Exposure to or proficiency with modern software engineering tools and processes (Agile, version control, issue tracking, CI/CD, etc.)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Golang
- Experience using SQL and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes (K8s)
- Exposure to concepts in machine learning and data science, and/or machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, sklearn, or similar
- Experience delivering technology solutions in secure government environments
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret (or above) US security clearance, or an active Secret (or above) US security clearance
This position offers a hybrid/on-site work environment at our office in Austin, TX.
CompensationThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $85,000-$100,000/year. Striveworks' total compensation package includes a competitive base salary, equity grants, and cash bonuses.
