Position Summary:
The Consultant supports Federal clients by collecting and analyzing information, documenting requirements and processes, building work products, and coordinating the details that turn a consulting approach into usable results. Consultants are hired for their analytical foundation, judgment, work ethic, learning agility, and team orientation, not for permanent attachment to one tool or contract. Assignment-specific duties may include business analysis, data analysis, process documentation, acquisition research, dashboard development, stakeholder support, training support, quality checks, or project coordination.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Salary Range for Junior Consultant: $80,000 – $110,000

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
Includes the following:
• Execute defined analyses and work packages under the direction of a Senior or Principal Consultant.
• Collect, organize, validate, and document qualitative and quantitative evidence from approved sources.
• Support interviews, workshops, working sessions, process walkthroughs, and stakeholder follow-up.
• Develop clear requirements records, process maps, data inventories, traceability matrices, dashboards, reports, presentations, job aids, or project controls as assigned.
• Apply approved methods, templates, taxonomies, quality standards, naming conventions, and version controls.
• Track decisions, risks, dependencies, comments, action items, and dispositions; escalate issues early.
• Write concise, accurate client-ready content and incorporate review comments with minimal rework.
• Build capability across adjacent disciplines and accept assignments outside an initial specialty when properly supported.
• Protect sensitive information and follow all client, security, records, privacy, and access requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory/management authority
Basic Qualifications:
Reporting & Analysis:
• Typically 2–5 years of experience in consulting, analysis, project delivery, Federal support, operations, data, acquisition, process improvement, or a related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, written communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Compliance & Quality Support:
• Working proficiency with standard productivity, collaboration, analysis, and presentation tools.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients in a quality-controlled, deadline-driven environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Ability to structure ambiguous information, identify gaps, and produce accurate work against deadlines.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Requirements development and management, business analysis, traceability, capability analysis, or systems analysis.
• Data inventory, normalization, quality, analysis, visualization, dashboard design, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or related tools.
• Enterprise process improvement, operating-model design, governance, decision rights, performance measurement, or Lean Six Sigma.
• DHS, CISA, cybersecurity, or another complex Federal mission environment; ability to obtain and maintain required suitability and access.
• Experience in Federal acquisition, contracting, procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or contract-portfolio analysis.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment.
