JOB DESCRIPTIONThis position provides day-to-day supervision of JSOC personnel and operations. The Supervisor will ensure appropriate staffing, adherence to procedures, quality of reporting, and effective response to security incidents affecting employees, operations, global assets, and the brand, 24/7.
The JSOC Supervisor will support the training and development of team members, review operational performance, and serve as an escalation point for complex or significant events. The threats and critical incidents that the JSOC tracks, disseminates, and manages include political instability, violence, travel alerts, health concerns, man-made or natural disasters, internal threats or technical failures.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise JSOC personnel and daily operations across all shifts.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and shift coverage.
- Ensure JSOC personnel adhere to established procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Review JSOC reporting for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or significant events and determine appropriate actions to resolve them.
- Support the training and development of Operators and Leads.
- Review the operational performance of JSOC personnel and provide feedback.
- Escalate significant incidents and operational issues to the JSOC Operations Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, international security, political science, or a related field.
- Military service or prior experience working in a JSOC, GSOC or similar operations center may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a JSOC, GSOC or similar operations center, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Preferred: 5 years of demonstrated experience doing the following:
- Supervising operations center personnel
- Managing staffing and shift coverage
- Reviewing team performance and providing feedback
- Training and developing team members
- Managing escalations of complex or significant incidents
- Ensuring quality and consistency of operational reporting
