Full Job Description

Relocation to Alaska required

As a JROTC instructor in LKSD, you will:
  • Maintain high expectations for student success and behavior
  • Administer assessments to monitor academic and leadership growth
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Identify and support at-risk students with targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with fellow staff and community members
  • Foster strong relationships with students and families to create a positive learning environment
  • Participate in Cadet Command, 8th Brigade, and LKSD professional development and engage in school and advisory committee meetings

We are seeking candidates who:
  • Have a strong sense of adventure and are eager to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan community
  • Hold a valid JROTC Instructor Certificate (or are eligible to obtain one)
  • Have passed a CNACI background check through Cadet Command
  • Possess a bachelor's degree (preferred) and demonstrate a commitment to effective educational practices
  • Are dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $59,391-$102,711 (dependent on Cadet Command's minimum instructor pay)
