SPRINGFIELD UTILITY BOARD IS RECRUITING FOR A JOURNEY-LEVEL LINE TECHNICIAN

Journey-Level Line Technician is preferred. Final Step Apprentice will be considered.

Non-Exempt / Union / Full-Time / 40 hours a week / M - F / 7:00 - 3:30

HOURLY WAGE:

Final Step Apprentice wage: $65.34

Journeyman Lineman wage: $72.60

Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in an electric utility preferred
• Driving is an essential function of this position. Therefore, a valid Oregon CDL Class A driver's license (must obtain within first six-months) is required.
• Possess and maintain current First Aid, CPR/AED certificates, or the ability to acquire within six months of employment.
• A Journey-Level Line Technician must have successfully completed a recognized Journey-Level Line Technician Apprenticeship program that includes a minimum three years of related on-the-job training
• A Final Step Apprentice must be currently enrolled in a recognized Journey-Level Line Technician apprenticeship program that includes a minimum of three years related on-the-job training
• As a Final Step Apprentice, you must be able to complete all related training and hours required and pass the local IBEW 659 Journey-Level Line Technician test within 6 months of hire
