J4 Logistics Planner Analyst (Senior)On-site: HQ SOCCENT, MacDill AFB, FL | Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Job Purpose / SummaryProvide senior maintenance and readiness logistics analysis and advisory support to the Materiel Readiness Division (MRD) and J4 leadership across the CENTCOM AOR.
Duties and Responsibilities- Advise MRD, J4 leadership, and the command on service-common equipment (HMMWV, HEMTT, material handling equipment, tactical wheeled vehicles) and SO-P portfolios supported by USSOCOM.
- Apply knowledge of funding sources (MFP-2, MFP-11); study SOCCENT missions and functions and recommend adjustments to concepts of support.
- Utilize logistics automation systems (GCSS-A, SSAVIE, Palantir, Power BI, STORES, Equipment COP 2.0, DRRS-S, Vantage Army, Joint Container Management System) to track equipment and advise leadership.
- Analyze, evaluate, and report maintenance issues; solicit, input, and maintain unit readiness data in DRRS-S; prepare and brief unit readiness at routine meetings.
- Understand and implement the LCR process for SO-P platforms and service-common equipment (DOTMLPF change requests, BOIPs, unit equipment authorizations).
- Support logistics operations and planning including supply operations (theater bench stocks, Class IX accounts, excess retrograde, contingency stocks); read and interpret GCSS-A Equipment Status Reports.
- Prepare advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe products; implement knowledge management via SharePoint; maintain electronic mission-continuity resources.
Qualifications and Skills- Education and experience: MA/MS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis; JPME Level II or Service equivalent / advanced military education (SAMS, JAWS, Service War College); at least 5 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis; at least 3 years of experience in one of the specialty areas (CENTCOM AOR, MISO, MILDEC, CWMD, ORSA, CYBER, AT/FP, SNA, Special Programs, or Interagency); OR an equivalent combination of at least 10 years of SOF operational experience and education.
- Strong SOF/theater logistics analysis experience and proficiency with logistics automation systems.
- May perform CONUS/OCONUS travel as required.
