Job Purpose / SummarySupport MILDEC planning, synchronization, and execution, providing expert deception strategies and options in support of SOCCENT operations and OPSEC.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct research, analysis, and planning to integrate MILDEC into plans and operations.
- Coordinate with information forces, special technical operations (STO)/SAP capabilities, and other compartmented capabilities to develop plans, targets, and CONOPS.
- Provide expert MILDEC assessments, strategies, and recommendations to support the SOCCENT commander; provide MILDEC planning options in support of OPSEC.
- Integrate command elements into planning to ensure cyber expertise and deconflict/synchronize with CA, PSYOP, and influence operations efforts.
- Participate in VTCs and long-range strategic planning; draft, coordinate, and document strategies, plans, and planning documents.
- Apply joint doctrine (JOPP, APEX), operational art, and operational design; translate technical content and TTPs into high-level briefs, point papers, and talking papers; maintain mission-continuity resources.
Qualifications and Skills- Education and experience: MA/MS in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or Systems Analysis; JPME Level II or Service equivalent / advanced military education (SAMS, JAWS, Service War College); at least 5 years of strategic and operational planning and analysis; at least 3 years of experience in one of the specialty areas (CENTCOM AOR, MISO, MILDEC, CWMD, ORSA, CYBER, AT/FP, SNA, Special Programs, or Interagency); OR an equivalent combination of at least 10 years of SOF operational experience and education.
- Demonstrated MILDEC planning experience.
- May perform CONUS/OCONUS travel as required.
