The OpportunityVanteo's BDV Cultural Exchange business is rebuilding how it matches J-1 teachers to U.S. K-12 schools.
This role is the foundation everything else gets built on: the CRM architecture, the pipeline stages, the forecasting, and - critically - the deal-desk process that turns a verbal yes and the matching and placement of the perfect teacher.
This is a fast, demanding, and genuinely fun environment. We move quickly, we hit obstacles, and we need someone who fixes the process the moment it breaks rather than waiting for someone else to notice.
What You'll OwnBuild the system this team runs on- Architect our HubSpot instance. Design the pipeline stages, deal properties, automation, and underlying data model - for all five brands, which don't all sell the same way or at the same price point. You'll do this hand-in-hand with the Head of Education Growth and Partnerships, but you're the one who builds and maintains it.
- Own the deal desk. Quoting, contract templates, approval routing, and signature workflow. The single biggest operational fix this function needs is making sure a district's 'yes' becomes a countersigned agreement in days, not months.
- Build forecasting leadership can trust. Pipeline coverage, stage-conversion rates, and a forecast that holds up when the Head reports numbers to the President and the Board.
Keep a fast-growing sales team moving- Design the sales process. Clear stage definitions, entry/exit criteria, and hand-off points - including a built-in checkpoint for the compliance and school-quality review this business now requires before a placement counts as won.
- Run territory and account assignment. Partner with Revenue & Demand Generation to turn state-by-state opportunity data into fair, sensible territory and account splits across the New Sales team.
- Stand up sales enablement. Playbooks, onboarding, and training that gets a new rep productive fast - this team is hiring quickly and can't afford a slow ramp.
- Administer the tooling stack. HubSpot plus whatever else the team needs - e-signature, sales engagement, dialers - integrated, not bolted on.
- Own comp administration. Commission calculation and quota tracking that reps trust and leadership can audit.
What You Need- Real HubSpot depth. Hands-on, admin-level experience architecting a HubSpot instance (or a comparable CRM) - pipelines, properties, workflows, reporting - not just using one someone else built.
- Sales/revenue operations experience. 5+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, or deal desk, ideally somewhere that scaled a new-business motion quickly.
- Comfort with multiple, different sales motions at once. This isn't one product with one pipeline - it's five brands with different price points and buyers. You need to build a system flexible enough to handle that without becoming five different messes.
- Strong analytical chops. Excel/SQL-level comfort building forecasts and reporting that hold up under scrutiny.
- A bias for fixing things now. You see a broken step in the process and fix it that week, not next quarter.
- Education, staffing, or B2B/B2G experience. A plus, not a requirement - but familiarity with longer, relationship-driven sales cycles helps.
How You Work- An obstacle-clearer. You find the workaround and put it in motion, fast, rather than escalating and waiting.
- Detail-obsessed, without losing the plot. You care about a clean data model and a correct forecast because they're what makes the whole team faster.
- Tech-first. You default to automation and clean data architecture over spreadsheets and tribal knowledge.
Success in Your First Year Looks Like- HubSpot architecture live across all five brands
- Deal-desk process turns verbal interest into signed contracts, fast
- Forecasting & pipeline reporting trusted by leadership
- New reps productive within weeks, not months
Why This RoleYou're not maintaining a mature RevOps function - you're building the first one, for a five-brand portfolio, under a real deadline. If you'd rather design the system than inherit someone else's, this is that seat.
