OverviewYou will help REI get the most value from the technology assets used across the co-op. In this role, you will maintain accurate hardware and software asset data, help manage assets throughout their lifecycle, and support effective asset governance.
Working independently, you will partner with teams across Technology, Procurement, Finance, Security, Engineering, and Support. You will improve data quality, support license and audit readiness, strengthen ITAM processes, and turn asset data into insights that guide business decisions.
This position requires regular on-site work at REI's distribution center/HQ satellite office in Sumner, WA, approximately 1-2 days per week.Responsibilities and QualificationsResponsibilities- Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records across ITAM systems, CMDBs, and related tools. Reconcile data across systems and research discrepancies that affect asset visibility and reporting.
- Coordinate and document asset lifecycle activities, including intake, assignment, refresh, recovery, reuse, retirement, and disposal. Help ensure established processes are followed consistently.
- Manage software licenses, entitlement records, utilization analysis, and audit readiness. Maintain supporting evidence and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve utilization, and support license compliance.
- Create reports and dashboards on asset health, compliance, lifecycle status, and cost opportunities. Translate findings into clear insights for technical and business partners.
- Partner with Technology, Procurement, Finance, Security, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve operational issues. Identify underused, duplicate, aging, or misaligned assets and support reuse, renewal, and financial planning.
- Coordinate key ITAM activities, monitor performance metrics, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements. Partner with technical teams to improve data flows, automate workflows, and reduce repetitive work.
Required Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Operations, Software Asset Management, IT Service Management, or a related technology operations field.
- Knowledge of hardware and software asset lifecycle management, including inventory, assignment, refresh, recovery, retirement, and disposal.
- Experience with ITAM tools, CMDB platforms, endpoint management systems, or similar technologies such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, Intune, SCCM, or Jamf.
- Working knowledge of software license tracking, entitlement management, usage analysis, audit support, or compliance documentation.
- Experience using Excel, dashboards, reporting tools, or other methods to analyze and present data, with the ability to identify, research, and resolve data-quality issues across multiple systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow established processes, recommend practical improvements, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with ITAM, SAM, ITIL, or technology operations frameworks.
- Experience supporting software audits, license optimization, hardware refresh planning, or technology cost optimization.
- Experience improving workflows through automation, data integration, reporting enhancements, or AI-assisted analysis.
- Experience partnering with Procurement, Finance, Security, Service Desk, Engineering, or Infrastructure teams.
- Familiarity with asset governance, policy compliance, vendor renewals, or technology lifecycle planning.
Pay Range$74,400.00 - $119,100.00 per year
