Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist (Multiple Positions Available)

Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist (multiple positions available) at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for safeguarding and optimizing strategic customers' investments in SAP Enterprise Cloud Services.

Expectations and Tasks:

Ensuring Day to Day quality service delivery and defining, tracking, and achieving various ambitious service KPI and SLA's. Provide expert support for all Linux OS/Windows and Infra customer issues. Identifying and resolving architectural and design issues in existing Pacemaker setup, developing automation to ensure stability and reliability of the environment to run business-critical systems of our customers. Contributing to standardizing and simplifying server operations using software tools and automation (DevOps). Implementing and managing high availability solutions using clustering technologies, particularly Pacemaker. Strong capability in proactive alert analysis and maintaining system stability by effectively analyzing and responding to proactive alerts. Participate in Major incident handling, troubleshoot service request failures, downtime extensions, long running ongoing incidents for a customer, and solving them in stipulated SLA/KPI thresholds. Quick responses during escalations, take proactive steps to avoid escalations, identifying and driving initiatives to improve the operation and stability for our customer system. Root Cause analysis for Service requests failures/outages, performance issues - continuous improvement methodologies. Analyze root-causes of the failures (if known) in achieving the KPIS and define a corrective action plan, with well-defined mitigation steps. Coordinate and orchestrate the work between the various teams with Strong collaboration with other units within and outside Enterprise Cloud Service units. Bring in Continuous Improvement Initiatives, to address customer pain points and enhancements in the Service Delivery. Streamline standard operating procedures by focusing on automation enhancements.

Qualifications

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:

• Linux and Windows OS troubleshooting;

• Cloud domain, including AWS, Azure and GCP knowledge, and experience in administration;

• TCP/IP and IP Routing firewalls;

• Administration of DNS, LDAP and HTTP proxies;

• Script programming utilizing shell and python and automation in Ansible and CHEF;

• IT security practices and operating system hardening; and

• Incident and problem management and root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies for service outages and performance issues.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $127,525 - $195,976. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $131,000 - $222,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
