Position SummaryThe IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role supports Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, networking, endpoint management, cybersecurity tools, and user access management while ensuring system availability and reliability.
The ideal candidate has 4-7 years of systems administration experience and possesses strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Administration- Administer Windows Server environments and related services.
- Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Monitor system performance and server health.
- Perform system updates, patching, and maintenance.
- Manage and Coordinate activities with the MSP
Microsoft 365 Administration- Manage Microsoft 365 services including:
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive
- Intune
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, and licenses.
- Troubleshoot mail flow, Teams, and collaboration platform issues.
Cloud Administration- Support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
- Manage virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
- Monitor Azure resources and implement security best practices.
Endpoint Management- Manage Windows workstations and mobile devices.
- Utilize Microsoft Intune for device enrollment and policy management.
- Deploy software updates and security configurations.
Security & Compliance- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls.
- Manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Administer security platforms such as:
- Microsoft Defender
- Zscaler
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate activities with the MSSP.
Backup & Disaster Recovery- Monitor backup solutions and storage systems.
- Monitor backup testing and recovery procedures.
- Document disaster recovery processes.
Support & Troubleshooting- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support.
- Troubleshoot:

- Security solutions
- Escalate complex issues when necessary.
Documentation- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
- Document system changes and operational processes.
- Develop knowledge base articles for internal support teams.
Required QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience- 4-7 years of Systems Administration experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
