SUMMARY

Under general supervision, EAA is looking for an onsite team member to lead, plan, design, develop, improve and maintain complex computer applications, including modifying existing routines, supporting purchased application software, and driving simplified solutions for processing information and business application integration. This role will focus heavily on driving complete lifecycle solutions involving technical development of APIs, enterprise applications and possibly web projects, all driven by business priorities.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Works closely with business stakeholders and IT Development team to develop and maintain high-quality corporate APIs, between enterprise applications and projects
  2. Uses standard and best practice programming languages, design tools, and applications that follow existing corporate technical technologies used company wide
  3. Supports existing and develops new API integrations between ERP, AMS and CRM solutions, and external partners
  4. Creates or modifies application system programs and procedures to meet functional specifications
  5. Analyzes and troubleshoots the performance of application systems, software programs, and standard procedures, to identify and correct deficiencies based on input from users and peers
  6. Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and deploys code/systems/applications using existing EAA development and production environment best practices
  7. Maintain or develop current custom applications within this skillset
  8. Develops appropriate technical documentation needed for systems/application development/deployment/support by yourself and technical colleagues
  9. Performs data quality checks and questions/resolves anomalies
  10. Train end users on systems usage or technical changes, as needed
  11. Exchanges constructive feedback with stakeholders and team members
  12. Maintains current knowledge of state-of-the art technology and industry trends and best practices pertaining directly to EAA systems
  13. Comply with EAA and IT standards, policies, and guidelines.
  14. Embraces and supports the EAA mission and performs safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • This position typically requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in developing APIs, supporting business application systems of high business value, including software development, in-depth knowledge of SDLC principles, methods, practices, tools, industry standards and trends, is required.
  • Demonstrates ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for simplification and/or automation
  • Solid experience with developing or consuming REST APIs and web services, secure services using OAuth 2.0, JWT (JSON Web tokens) and API gateways
  • Proven proficiency with .NET framework, C#, Typescript; VB.NET experience a plus
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cloud-based APIs and services; NetSuite SuiteTalk and RESTlets a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of API development and best practice standards, including REST
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of iPaaS systems
  • Solid experience with SQL databases, SSIS; database architecture/design a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of relational database design concepts and techniques
  • Experience with integration to PowerBI and knowledge of Semantic models a plus
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of structured systems development lifecycle methods, techniques, and tools
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
  • Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages a plus
  • Eager and self-starting learner, comfortable working independently or with team members to research best fit, enterprise-first solutions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
