Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Senior System Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of XPEL's business systems across the estate, including but not limited to NetSuite and DAP. This role serves as the senior escalation point for complex configuration and support issues, governs change so enhancements do not negatively impact operations, and maintains strong security and access controls. The role is grounded in systems-administration concepts that apply across platforms rather than expertise in any single system, so the person remains effective as XPEL's application estate evolves.

Core Duties

  • Own the configuration of business systems across the estate, including roles and permissions, forms, fields, workflows, custom records, approvals, and reporting structures, following best practices for maintainability.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex support and configuration issues, identifying root causes, documenting resolutions, and preventing recurrence.
  • Own security and access control, including role design and permissioning, and drive periodic access reviews.
  • Own the IT audit engagement for the controls this role operates, facing external auditors, coordinating and preparing supporting evidence, and running the recertification cycle for access and configuration controls.
  • Govern change across the lifecycle, from intake through design, configuration, testing, and release, ensuring changes do not disrupt business operations.
  • Configure and operate the prebuilt integrations that run inside these platforms, coordinating with the Software team for anything requiring a custom build.
  • Support data management activities, including imports, cleanup, and governance standards, to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with developers and technical specialists on design, testing, debugging, access, and integration matters.
  • Mentor and support other system administrators, and set configuration standards the team works to.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, access, and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in information systems, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on business systems administration, including configuration, security, and cross-functional support.
  • Deep, transferable command of systems-administration concepts: role and permission design, workflow and approval configuration, change management, access controls, and data integrity, independent of any single platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to map business processes to system functionality and recommend scalable improvements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • In office role in San Antonio, TX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering one or more major enterprise platforms, such as NetSuite, at depth. Experience across more than one platform is a strong plus, as it demonstrates the concepts transfer.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns, such as REST, SOAP, or iPaaS.
  • Experience supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, or global operations.
  • Relevant system certifications, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
