IT Security Coordinator
Facility: Trenton Job Overview:The IT Security Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the organization's data. This role involves coordinating the implementation of the company's information security and risk management policies, procedures, and controls. The IT Security Coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure that security protocols are integrated into all facets of IT operations.
Responsibilities:- Lead the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards that meet industry practices and regulatory requirements, including compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
- Manage the security architecture for the company, ensuring that it supports the overall business objectives and minimizes risks.
- Develop and implement a strategic security roadmap for all IT infrastructure, applications, and data across multiple sites.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits across all facilities, ensuring timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities and compliance with CMMC standards.
- Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation and resolution of security breaches.
- Mentor the IT team, providing guidance on various security technologies and practices.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to align security protocols with business processes.
- Manage the budget for the information security department, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
- Occasional travel to our manufacturing sites across North America will be required.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an IT security role.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and database security.
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
- Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods.
- Experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM) is preferable.
- Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements will be appreciated.
