Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of all project activities, from design to launch.

About the Position

This position is responsible for the entire life cycle of Kenco’s software product such as WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (Transportation Management System), or BI (Business Intelligence). This position is responsible for the strategic planning, product management, implementation, and support for the software product. They will present and interact with customers and internal functional support teams to ensure project results are achieved on time and within budget and present project status and issues to executive level business personnel. Travel will be required in support of customer needs.

Functions

  • Manage the lifecycle of Blue Yonder WMS implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain implementation strategies, roadmaps, standards, and governance processes for assigned products and projects.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for contractor-led implementation teams, ensuring accountability, quality delivery, and adherence to Kenco standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Blue Yonder WMS implementation activities.
  • Develop project resourcing strategies, including internal resources, contractors, implementation partners, training requirements, and project budgets.
  • Monitor and report to IT leadership, Operations, customers, and executive stakeholders on project status, risks, issues, budgets, and implementation progress.
  • Lead project planning, governance, risk management, issue resolution, and escalation activities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, consulting partners, contractors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Provide functional and technical guidance for Blue Yonder WMS solution design, configuration, testing, integration, deployment, and support activities.Utilize warehouse operations expertise to evaluate business requirements and design practical, scalable solutions.
  • Collect and analyze business requirements for large and complex customer implementations.
  • Perform feasibility studies and translate operational requirements into effective system designs.Identify business process conflicts, integration challenges, and operational risks while recommending alternative solutions. Evaluate proposed customizations, enhancements, and integrations while promoting standardization and reuse of existing Kenco solutions.
  • Ensure project deliverables, system documentation, testing results, and support transition materials meet established quality standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers, Operations leadership, IT teams, software vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Lead customer workshops, project reviews, steering committee meetings, and executive-level status presentations.
  • Drive consistency across implementation methodologies, documentation standards, project governance practices, and solution designs.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities and development of internal Blue Yonder WMS expertise.
  • Assist with RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses, solution estimates, implementation approaches, and project pricing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Warehouse Management System experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Blue Yonder (JDA/RedPrairie) WMS experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading software implementations, projects, or programs.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain execution processes.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience overseeing external contractors, consulting organizations, and implementation partners.
  • Experience presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to customers and executive leadership.
  • Experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse automation, WCS, LMS, parcel systems, ERP integrations, or distribution center startups preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 25% - 50%.
