Full Job Description
Client IT LEAP Technical Lead
The Position:
The growing Client IT Lab Engineering, Automation & Productivity (LEAP) group supports the IT needs of Client laboratories. LEAP seeks a talented technical lead to develop and support IT solutions for lab groups while providing excellent customer service across the Client organization. Your responsibilities will include working across a diverse team of scientists and IT professionals to provide technical project oversight, support the technologies leveraged in Client labs, problem solve IT issues, master relevant new technologies as needed, and independently represent the LEAP team in meetings with internal and external customers. You will join a growing LEAP team with a variety of skills and experiences in both technology and life sciences. Together you will have the opportunity to shape and build a modern R&D environment that propels Client's drug development ambitions.

Responsibilities:
• Research, design and implement technical solutions to enable science
• Manage and support varied lab systems, both Windows and Linux-based
• Author data flow diagrams and other technical documents, as well as functional specifications and test plans for system enhancements.
• Collaborate with informatics and research groups across the organization

Successful candidates will have many ofthe following attributes:
• Minimum education level is a bachelor's degree, preferably in a science or technology discipline
• 8+ years of technical IT experience
• 3+ years of Linux experience, including operating system installation, configuration management, and strong shell scripting skills (bash, etc)
• Knowledge of scientific applications and technologies
• A focus on solution delivery, with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with your own team, technical IT partners, and customers
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to non-technical audiences•
• Be a self-starter with passion for continuous self-improvement
• Experience with security technologies such as Kerberos, SSH, LDAP, AD, SAML and Single Sign On, a plus
• Experience with Python a plus
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
