Our Team is based out of our office in Burlington, Massachusetts, where we work in-office Monday through Thursday each week, and remotely on Fridays. Team members must reside within or be willing to relocate to a commutable distance from our Burlington office. What You'll Accomplish The IT Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across Wellness Pet's technology environment, ensuring our systems, data, infrastructure, and security capabilities support the company's growth and business objectives. This role will lead the continued evolution of our IT landscape, with a focus on enterprise systems, business intelligence and reporting, networking, cybersecurity, and technology enablement.
The IT Director will partner closely with leaders across the organization to understand business needs, prioritize technology investments, improve operational efficiency, and build secure, scalable systems that enable the business to perform at its best.
In this role, you will:
- Lead enterprise systems strategy and operations, including the evaluation, implementation, integration, optimization, and ongoing management of core business applications and platforms.
- Drive BI reporting and data capabilities that provide leaders with accurate, actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, data integration, and improved access to business information.
- Oversee networking and IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure connectivity across corporate locations, users, devices, and technology environments.
- Lead cybersecurity programs to protect company systems, data, and users, including security controls, risk management, vulnerability management, incident response, employee awareness, and ongoing compliance efforts.
- Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligned with business priorities, balancing innovation, cost, scalability, security, and operational needs.
- Partner with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, and other functions to identify opportunities for technology to improve business processes and decision-making.
- Establish strong IT governance, standards, processes, and controls while continuously identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Manage external technology partners, vendors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring performance, value, security, and accountability.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the IT team, creating a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service.
- Manage technology budgets, resources, priorities, and investments while communicating business impact and recommendations to senior leadership.

In addition, for this specific role, we need someone who:
- Has a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Has 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including significant leadership responsibility across enterprise technology environments.
- Has demonstrated experience developing and executing an enterprise systems strategy, including ERP, CRM, SaaS applications, integrations, and business-critical platforms.
- Has strong experience with business intelligence, reporting, data platforms, and analytics, including the ability to translate business needs into actionable technology solutions.
- Has experience leading networking and infrastructure strategy and operations across corporate and/or distributed environments.
- Has experience developing and managing cybersecurity programs, including security strategy, risk management, incident response, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of IT governance, architecture, systems integration, data security, and technology best practices.
- Has experience managing technology vendors, third-party partners, budgets, and complex implementations.
- Is a strong business partner who can communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
- Is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.

The annual salary range for this position is $162,900 to $247,600, based on a full-time work schedule, anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational equity. Compensation may vary within that pay range depending on the selected candidate's professional background, experience, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The full compensation details will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer and may include eligibility for participation in a bonus program.
