Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst designs, develops, and supports scalable reporting and data solutions across the organization. This role partners with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into data-driven insights, and build Power BI reports, semantic models, SQL queries, and data pipelines that support operational and strategic decision-making. The position works closely with the BI Team to maintain consistent data models, improve reporting performance, and support the organization's modern analytics platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops, and maintains Power BI datasets and reports, including data modeling, DAX development, and performance optimization.
  • Builds and supports data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and prepare data for reporting, analytics, and eventual AI ingestion.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translates business questions into data-driven insights.
  • Works with modern data platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based services, to support data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
  • Follows established data architecture standards and partners closely with the BI/Data Architect to ensure consistency across data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
  • Documents data definitions, report logic, and processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Supports other data projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience with relational databases, SQL, and reporting or analytics solutions; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling).
  • Experience building interactive reports and semantic models in Power BI, including DAX.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with or exposure to cloud-based data platforms (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or similar).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to take direction, accept constructive criticism and be diplomatic when reviewing work of others.
  • Knowledge of standard reporting used for manufacturing, finance, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, or HRIS systems (Dynamics 365 a plus).
  • Exposure to Power Query, Fabric pipelines, or data lake/lakehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with SOX and other government regulatory reporting environments.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and professionalism, including the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially, maintain appropriate boundaries, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, support change, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Starting salary level is based on qualifications:

  • Business Intelligence Analyst I: $89,000 - $100,000 annually
  • Business Intelligence Analyst II: $95,000 - $115,000 annually
