Primary Purpose:
The Agile Team Lead is responsible for making sure Scrum teams live by the values and practices of Scrum, and for acting as the process owner for the team, creating a balance with the Product Owner. As an Agile Team Lead, you will do whatever possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and working closely with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is properly groomed.
Essential Functions:
Guide development teams and product management on the use of agile practices; act as an agent of change to expand the use of Scrum throughout the organization
Empower delivery teams to be self-organized guide team to work toward measurable goals
Facilitate Scrum activities/ceremonies
Facilitate collaborative, cross-functional communication, improving transparency and radiating project information and metrics
Assess the scrum maturity of the team and organization; coach the team to higher levels of maturity
Remove impediments; understand the difference between internal and organizational impediments and how to manage each effectively
Build a trusting/safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving
Support and educate the Product Owner, with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible; lead by example
Participate in the Scrum of Scrums with the other SM's to coordinate interdependencies and implement best practices
Stay current on industry and Agile best practices
Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
