AstheIS Security Architect, you willbethe enterprisesecurity architectureauthorityformajor technology initiatives and platforms. You will help shape and advanceBCAAsecurity capabilities across cloud, identity, network, and applicationdomains.
In this role, youwill provide strategic technical planning, architecture guidance,and designexpertisewhilepartnering closelywith business and IS teams toprotect BCAAassetsand enable secure delivery of business priorities.You will also serve as a trusted escalation point for the security team, offering technical leadership, mentoring, and practical guidance on complex security challenges.

What youll do
Develop,documentandmaintainanenterprisesecurity architecture framework, ensuring it alignswith businessobjectivesand industry standards.
LeadZero Trust architecturedesign and implementationacrossidentity, device, network, and application control planes.
Architect and drive adoption of SASE/SSE solutions (SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP) to close visibility gaps acrossenterprise applications.
Provide technical leadership andcollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into the software development lifecycle.
Alignsolutions with PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and internal risk frameworksthroughpractical architectural controls.
Design and enhance security logging and monitoring architecture,including SIEM pipelines and log ingestion strategies.
Investigate security incidents and collaborate on post-incident reviews, offering recommendations for remediation and prevention.
Leadadoption ofemerging AI-enabledsecurity paradigms tostrengthenBCAAs security posture.
What you bring
CISSP, Undergraduate in Computer Science, Applicable Certifications or Diploma.
10+ years of working in asecurity-focusedrole with a minimum of3years of architectural experience.
Demonstrated experience designing Zero Trust and SASE/SSE architectures.
Strong understanding of identity-centric security (Entra ID, IAM, PAM).
Experience with cloud security architecture tooling (CSPM, CWPP, SSPM).
Experience making architecture trade-off decisions in high-stakes environments.
Experience providing technical incident response and operational support to engineering teams.
Proventrack recordacting as a lead architect across complex enterprise initiatives.
Knowledge of system design and architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, ESAis a plus.
Proven excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with other team members.
Ability to create systems and consistent procedures and processes in both technical and user-friendlylanguage.
Proven ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent multi-taking and organizational skills.
The salary range for this position is$133,519.20to $166,899.00and isdeterminedviajob-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, marketdemandand internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days). Applicants who are notlocatedwithin commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking torelocateto the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered. BCAA is pleased to provide relocation support for the right identified candidate.
