This job designs, builds, and maintains data sources and pipelines for consumption by various analytical and business units. Collects, manages, and converts raw data into usable data sets accessible by developers and analysts. Automates, documents, and improves existing manual processes. Work Experience Required - 5 years of professional experience in a data engineering or equivalent role. 3 years of experience using SQL in daily activities. 3 of experience working with various relational databases. 1 year of experience using a BI tool (Tableau, PowerBI, etc). Preferred - 1 year of experience with dimensional modeling and ETL processes and tools. 1 year of experience with other programming language(s) (Python, Java etc). Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 3 Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain batch scripts and processes. 3 Ability to transform raw data into usable, accurate and scalable data sets. 3 Ability to see improvement opportunities and act on them. 3 Knowledge of business intelligence concepts and ability to collaborate with end users to define data requirements. 3 Advanced SQL skills and ability to quickly learn other scripting languages depending on team's needs. 3 Knowledge of existing and emerging hardware and software technologies and an aptitude for learning new technical skills quickly. 3 Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering outstanding customer-focused solutions. 3 Ability to think outside the box when designing new approaches and solutions. 3 Knowledge of dimensional modeling, ETL processes, and tools. 3 Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. 3 Excellent problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and time management skills. 3 Ability to effectively manage multiple demands in a rapidly changing, team-based environment. Job Duties 3 Works with analytical departments to understand their priorities and develop data solutions to assist with their objectives. 3 Provides expertise in all facets of logical modeling and presentation solutions including prototyping and proof of concept, using best practices within the business intelligence and data management environments. 3 Maintains and develops documentation to identify and define processes or procedures. 3 Manages data by following best practices. 3 Supports and monitors business intelligence systems and processes. 3 May assist with administering business intelligence server(s) and/or processes. 3 Serves as a technical resource and support to multiple teams. 3 Performs other related duties as assigned.
