JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

As a Petroleum Technologist, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution and support team members across both the A&D and coverage functions. You will develop strong function skills in the major areas of M&A&D investment banking. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain and update reserves databases to support team activities 
  • Work closely with engineers and geologists to ensure accurate representation of commercial and reservoir data in reserves databases
  • Support and maintain  databases within a variety of reserve evaluation  software such as ARIES and ComboCurve
  • Utilize GIS tools to perform spatial data analysis and visualization & assist in integrating GIS data with the reserves database to enhance data analysis capabilities
  • Assist in marketing and data room presentation creation not limited to PowerPoint, mapping and 

Required capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in database management of oil and gas assets across lower 48 conventional and unconventional play types
  • Strong understanding of commonly used reserve evaluation programs such as ARIES, PHDwin, ComboCurve
  • Experience with fundamental reservoir engineering analysis 
  • Working knowledge of  energy related public data providers such as Enverus and WoodMac
  • Working knowledge of geo-spatial software programs such as ArcGIS or QGis
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials and execution of mandates
  • Assist with the preparation of data room presentations 
  • Consistently be a team player and can work alongside motivated colleagues that express a willingness to be successful and are driven to win 

Required qualifications

  • Experience conducting A&D evaluations
  • Lower 48 un-conventional reservoir evaluation experience is preferred
  • Deep level of economic understanding of development field economicsusing reserve economic programs
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or technical certificate preferred
