Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images as ordered.
  • Assist physicians during various diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to procedures during imaging.
  • Maintain a sterile field and proper protocols throughout procedures.
  • Interpret and evaluate diagnostic data for physician use.
  • Contribute to education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Full Job Description
Pay Range:
$34.21 - $51.31

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting. Operates conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders. Assists the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. Supports the education, training and quality improvement process.

Education Qualifications
  • Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is required.

Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
