POSITION SUMMARY
Saline Valley Diagnostic Radiology (SVDR) has served the Southern Illinois Community for over 40 years providing diagnostic and interventional services to 12 Illinois hospitals, 2 Surgery Centers as well as many affiliated clinics and express care centers.
SVDR is growing its Interventional Radiology team and seeking a Full-Time Interventional Radiologist to support our practice in beautiful Marion, Illinois. This position covers Level 2 trauma at Deaconess Heartland Regional Medical Center, providing a broad range of interventions. Candidates will have the opportunity to expand the service line to include vascular interventions. Candidates must be residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology. The ideal candidate must be capable of reading a broad spectrum of diagnostic imaging and maintain a desire to work in a collaborative environment with local referring physicians. This role will encompass some leadership responsibility to include developing the IR program; additional stipend provided for leadership duties.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule: Onsite M-F
Shift: 7am-5pm CST
80% IR | 20% DX
No Call | No Weekend
This candidate must be capable of reading various diagnostic modalities
Ability to perform IR procedures including biopsy, ablation, TIPS, nephrostomy tube placement/exchange, abscess drains, paracentesis, thoracentesis, pleural drains and gastro tube placemen/replacement.
Leadership responsibility
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Board certified or Board Eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology required
Ability to obtain an Illinois and Indiana license
Leadership Skills/Interest
Ability to engage with and support the needs of the referring physicians
Ability to maintain a culture that provides quality outcomes

LOCAL PRACTICE OVERVIEW
SVDR operates with an internal 24/7 Results Communication Center support team (CORE = Center of Radiology Excellence) to coordinate care and clinical contact. This clinical team is an extension of our Radiologists, which helps in reducing day-to-day administrative minutiae. The Advisory Board Company and the American College of Radiology have both recognized this as an innovative customer service function. SVDR continually reviews and improves their radiology service through new clinical initiatives, research, artificial intelligence and best practices that provide proven value to patients and payors.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $650,000-$750,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
