Position Summary

Relief Mental Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Psychiatrist to join our growing clinical team. This role is ideal for a psychiatrist with a strong interest or specialized training in interventional psychiatry who is passionate about treating complex, treatment-resistant psychiatric diagnoses using advanced, evidence-based therapies. The Interventional Psychiatrist will provide direct patient care, clinical leadership, and collaborative support to our interdisciplinary teams while helping advance Relief Mental Health's mission and clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for patients seeking mental health care.
  • Deliver and oversee interventional treatments including:
    • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
    • SPRAVATO® (esketamine)
    • Ketamine-based therapies (where applicable)
    • Other neuromodulation or interventional services as clinically indicated
  • Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of interventional treatments.
  • Monitor treatment response, manage side effects, and adjust care plans based on outcomes and evidence-based guidelines
  • Participate in peer consultation, case reviews, and clinical quality initiatives
  • Support referral relationships by providing clinical expertise and education to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to program development, protocol refinement, and adoption of emerging interventional therapies
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory, payer, and accreditation requirements
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active or eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Wisconsin
  • DEA
  • Strong clinical interest or formal training in interventional psychiatry, neuromodulation, or treatment-resistant diagnoses.
  • Experience with TMS and/or SPRAVATO® preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
  • Fellowship training or advanced certification in interventional psychiatry or neuromodulation
  • Prior experience in outpatient psychiatric settings
  • Familiarity with outcomes tracking and measurement-based treatment models
