Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking an Intermediate Test Engineer/Analyst to join a team supporting Missile Defense System (MDS) test activities through complex data analysis, system evaluations, and test reporting. This position supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Test Analysis and Reporting mission by transforming test data into actionable insights that improve system readiness and reliability.

As an Intermediate Test Engineer/Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Perform advanced analysis of flight, ground, and simulation-based testing across the Missile Defense System (MDS) lifecycle.
  • Support test planning, execution, and post-test analysis activities to evaluate system performance and readiness.
  • Develop predictive models and analytical approaches to support mission preparation and test objectives.
  • Conduct real-time and post-mission data evaluations to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze complex, multi-source data environments and develop automated tools and visualizations to assess Missile Defense performance.
  • Create custom scripts and utilize analytical tools to process, query, and interpret test data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting products to communicate technical findings.
  • Author and support test planning documents, readiness briefings, and detailed performance reports.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to military, government, and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing methodologies, processes, and analytical approaches.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support collaborative team efforts.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in systems testing, data analysis, engineering analysis, or related technical field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOW active secret level clearance.
  • Experience analyzing complex technical data and developing solutions to support system performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Experience developing data visualizations and analytical products.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and systems-level thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to senior leadership, customers, and technical teams.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or Missile Defense System (MDS) programs.
  • Experience supporting flight testing, ground testing, simulation environments, or test analysis activities.
  • Experience creating Tableau workbooks and advanced data visualizations.
  • Experience developing automated analytical tools and scripts.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or analysts.
