Project Manager - Calgary, AB - Full Time - ID#6602

We are seeking a Project Manager to support our growing team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving project excellence, collaborating with industry leaders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Project Delivery & Leadership
  • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and close-out of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and maintain project WBS, schedule, cost baseline, and risk registers.
  • Monitor performance metrics (SPI, CPI) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manage engineering, procurement, and construction interfaces within a matrixed environment.
Stakeholder & Team Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate project meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Foster a highly collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team environment.
  • Mentor and coach junior project staff, promoting knowledge transfer and professional growth.
Governance, Compliance & Safety
  • Implement PTAG's Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and reporting frameworks.
Internal Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead or contribute to internal process improvement efforts, including the development of tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to PTAG's internal project management community.
  • Support proposal writing, RFP responses, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of digital collaboration and project management technologies.
Qualifications / Requirements
To succeed in this role, you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (required).
  • 5-10 years of proven experience managing large-scale capital projects in power, energy and infrastructure.
  • Experience managing construction or mission-critical facilities is highly valued.
  • Strong working knowledge of project controls, risk management, and earned value management.
  • Familiarity with government funded project requirements and reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools. PMP certification or P.Eng license preferred (or in progress).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset.

Salary Range for Role {$132,000 - 137,000)
Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
