Job Summary
The Intermediate AWS Developer will be responsible for developing and supporting AWS-based applications and services in serverless and event-driven environments. This is a hands-on development role requiring active coding experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and Infrastructure as Code. The developer will work collaboratively across technical teams and with client stakeholders to deliver software solutions, support integrations, participate in troubleshooting and production support, and contribute to Agile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and support AWS-based applications and services.
• Build serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions.
• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop or maintain application components using TypeScript.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
• Support integrations between enterprise applications and services.
• Participate in design discussions, troubleshooting, and production support as required.
• Work collaboratively with other developers through pairing and working sessions.
• Participate in Agile delivery using GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Work effectively across multiple teams and with client stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on commercial experience with AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions.
• Hands-on experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool.
• Strong hands-on software development experience in AWS-based, serverless, and event-driven environments.
• Experience delivering software in a structured enterprise or consulting environment.
• Ability to clearly explain software development work personally completed using AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, and event-driven or integration-heavy application architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using AI-assisted or agentic coding tools within development workflows.
• Experience with integration-heavy or transactional enterprise systems.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
• Experience working across multiple technical teams.
