Full Job Description
The Interconnection Analyst supports the execution and administration of utility-scale generation interconnection projects across multiple Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs). This role is responsible for coordinating interconnection-related agreements, supporting project execution, maintaining project documentation, tracking milestones, and coordinating day-to-day interconnection activities throughout the project lifecycle. The position works closely with Interconnection Managers, Legal, Engineering, Commercial, Transmission Owners (TOs), RTOs/ISOs, and external consultants to ensure projects progress efficiently from study through commercial operation. This is an execution and project coordination role, rather than a power systems engineering or policy role. This role will be based out of any of our Chicago, IL office and is subject to our Company's return-to-office policy which currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office. Key Responsibilities Interconnection Agreement Administration Coordinate legal review and execution of: Study Agreements Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIAs) Interconnection Agreement (IA) Amendments Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) Work Orders Other interconnection-related agreements Track agreement status and facilitate timely execution among internal stakeholders, Transmission Owners, RTOs/ISOs, consultants, and counterparties. Coordinate agreement comments, redlines, approvals, and signatures between Legal, Engineering, Commercial, and external parties. Monitor agreement milestones, payment obligations, and contractual deliverables to support timely project execution. Project Execution Support Support day-to-day execution of interconnection projects from Study Agreement submission through commercial operation. Track post-GIA project milestones, contractual obligations, and work order activities. Maintain project schedules and monitor deliverable deadlines, payment schedules, and compliance requirements. Coordinate execution activities across internal teams and external stakeholders. Identify and escalate schedule risks, overdue action items, and project issues to the Interconnection Manager. Transmission Owner & RTO Coordination Coordinate and attend routine meetings with Transmission Owners (TOs), RTOs/ISOs, consultants, and internal project teams. Prepare meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, and track follow-up action items. Coordinate communications to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. Document Management & Project Controls Maintain project document repositories and ensure documents are complete, organized, and current. Manage version control for agreements, study reports, technical documents, correspondence, invoices, work orders, and project records. Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports. Support audit readiness and document retrieval requests. Interconnection Request Support (As Workload Allows) Assist with preparation and coordination of Interconnection Request (IR) packages. Coordinate collection of technical and commercial submission materials. Prepare submission packages for review by the Interconnection Manager. Compensation & Benefits 85,000 minimum - 96,000 maximum This pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
