Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Intelligence Planner specializing in Exercise and Training to support USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD. You will integrate intelligence support capabilities into combined and joint exercise and training events, representing USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC at exercise planning events and developing cyber scenario and intelligence support scripting. This role requires approximately 25% travel and offers the opportunity to shape USCYBERCOM's exercise intelligence enterprise. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Integrate intelligence support capabilities into combined and joint exercise and training events in accordance with JOPES 
  • Represent USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC at exercise Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) and Cyber Mission Area Training (CyMAT) events 
  • Assist exercise intelligence planners in exercise objective development, cyber scenario development, and intelligence support scripting 
  • Develop Cyber Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) events and implementer products 
  • Provide support to exercise execution including white cell participation, assessment, and After Action Report preparation 
  • Review and report on Strategic Guidance applicable to cyberspace intelligence support to exercises and training 
  • Assess Intelligence Planning and recommend production adjustments necessary to support combined and joint exercises 
  • Provide trip reports or summaries as required following exercise participation 
  • Demonstrate proficiency and timeliness in drafting and responding to policy and strategy inquiries 
  • Document Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives 
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required 
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, including work within the last 2 years.Master’s degree in a related field, or a Bachelor’s plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (17 years total).
  • Working knowledge of intelligence planning concepts, exercise planning processes, and IC/DoD classification guidelines 
  • Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and exercise products in Microsoft Office formats 
  • Proficiency evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information using structured analytic techniques 
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% (CONUS and OCONUS); valid passport required 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with Intellipedia, SharePoint, PAC, BICES, Chippewa, Stoneghost, Ispace, GCENext, or unclassified VTC programs 
  • Background in joint exercise planning, JELC processes, or cyber exercise development 
  • Experience developing MSEL events, exercise scenarios, or intelligence support scripts 
  • Familiarity with USCYBERCOM J2/JIOC exercise planning processes 
  • Knowledge of cyberspace operations exercise frameworks and training objectives 
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
