Compensation: $117,000-$130,000 per year

Job Overview

The Integration Engineer is an experienced, autonomous technical contributor responsible for designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable enterprise integrations and the data pipelines that enable them. The role is primarily focused on integration engineering, with secondary responsibility for data engineering and the opportunity to assume increasing ownership of database reliability and maintenance. The engineer applies hands-on software, data, and integration engineering experience to deliver dependable system-to-system solutions across the organization. This position partners closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions. With limited oversight, the Integration Engineer owns solutions end-to-end-from discovery and architecture recommendations through implementation, deployment, operational support, and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

• Design, implement, and maintain complex integrations between our primary internal application, ERP systems, HRIS platforms (including Workday), and third-party applications & feeds.
• Build and support API-based, event-driven, file-based, and middleware integrations to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Manage all aspects of Workday integrations, including inbound and outbound processes using APIs, EIBs, Studio, and RaaS.
• Develop and deliver on-demand SQL query reports to support business analytics and ad-hoc data requests.
• Quickly transition between multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effortlessly script code in Python, Java, or other relevant languages to automate processes and solve technical challenges.
• Debug complex integration issues by viewing logs, analyzing errors, and identifying root causes.

Assess integration requirements and recommend the best-fit architecture, patterns, platforms, and data flows based on security, scalability, reliability, supportability, cost, and delivery constraints.

Provide technical ownership for assigned projects by guiding design decisions, documenting tradeoffs, coordinating technical dependencies, and reviewing implementation quality

Software, Data, Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Develop backend services and ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and/or Java within AWS environments
• Work extensively with relational databases, demonstrating advanced SQL expertise.
• Build and deploy AWS cloud solutions, including cloud-native workloads and data warehousing platforms.

Education and/ or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

7+ years of hands-on software development experience.

Strong background in integration fundamentals, ERP, Workday, ETL, API, and data engineering.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or Java

Understanding of DevOps tools and best practices
