Job Description & Responsibilities

Persistent is looking for anIntegration Engineer to join its Integration Engineering team. As part of our Integration Engineering team, you will support andfacilitatesystem integration of Persistentexisting and developmentproductswith end-users and industry partners, primarily Army customers.You will support the definition of technical requirements fornew programsand provide technical support for existing programs.Responsibilities will include requirements gathering, solution design,test planning and execution, RF mapping, report generation and delivery.You will play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges and new requirements to our engineering department as you strive to solve problems. This role requires excellent communication skillsand significant customer interface experience.You willbe requiredtointerface witha variety of internal and external stakeholders such as industry partners, end users, government program offices, PersistentSalesandPrograms Managementteams, andproduct developers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Customer Entities, PersistentSystemsEngineering and Field Operations teams to resolve technical issues escalated from customer locations.
  • Contributing to program effectiveness byidentifyingshort-term and long-term issues; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; and recommending options and courses of action
  • Build customer relationships with program clients through managing and interpreting their requirements and conveying progress to Management team
  • Troubleshooting customers9 communication systems and collaborating with the Sales, Engineering,and Field Operationsdepartmentsto resolve technical issues.
  • Developing testand demonstrationplansandmethodologies followed by final reports and summaries for internal and external customers
  • Developing technical portions of responses to RFI / RFP and other similar customer requirements
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products to evaluate andmaintainprogram objectives
  • Working closely withProduct Development Departmentby providing feedback from information gathered duringintegration and testing projects
  • Communicating Persistent Systems' solutions to technical and non-technical clients and end-users

Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor9s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or computer science
  • 3+ yearsofrelevantexperience
  • Understandingtechnical concepts such as wireless, mobile IP, RF propagation with an understanding of hardware and software concepts
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as IP routing and switching and VPN architecture
  • Experience withArmy Vehicles, Uncrewed Systems,Aviationor Maritime communicationssystemsand operations
  • Proficiencyin software packages such as Visio, Microsoft Office
  • Must be available to travel30% of the time
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master9s degreein electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering,orcomputer science
  • 5+ years of experience with Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations communication systems
  • Proficiencyin programming in Python, C, and/or C++
  • Proficiencyin working through Linux Operating System.
  • Experience with wireless concepts such as MANET, Mesh, Ad-hoc, protocols and web architecture, with an understanding of hardware and software concepts
  • Experience working directly with customers and end users
  • Experience of working with customer organizations such aslarge sizedGovernment entities
  • Experience working with mid-size or larger Commercial organizations
  • DoD Information Operations and Cyber Security experience
  • Proficiencyin advanced technical software packages such asSolidWorks, and MATLAB
  • Active Secret US Security Clearance

The base pay for this role can vary from $152,000 to $173,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
