Integration Engineer/Developer, Journeyman

Position Description:

The Integration Engineer designs, develops, and implements solutions that connect different systems and applications to ensure they work together seamlessly. They are responsible for building and maintaining the connections between various software and hardware components, ensuring data flows smoothly and systems operate efficiently. This often involves working with APIs, databases, and other technologies to create a cohesive and functional IT ecosystem.

This position is located in Arlington, Virginia, USA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• System Integration Design and Development: Creating and implementing integration solutions for diverse systems and applications, often involving APIs and middleware.
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, system architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Implementation and Testing: Building and testing integration solutions to ensure they meet performance, functionality, and security standards.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Monitoring and resolving integration issues, ensuring systems remain stable and reliable.
• Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for integration processes, workflows, and system configurations.
• Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest integration technologies and best practices to improve integration strategies.
• API Management: Overseeing the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of APIs to ensure efficient and reliable operation of integration processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree or 3 to 10 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
• Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and data mapping.
• Experience with databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with APIs and middleware technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150000.00.
