Integration Engineer 4 (IBM MQ)

As an Integration Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage our IBM MQ messaging stack to ensure availability, capacity and performance to support our critical applications and services
- Utilize your expertise of IBM MQ cluster design, operation and support.
- Design and configure new MQ services, perform upgrades, configure channels, topics, queues.
- Resolve security vulnerabilities, manager disaster recovery events
- Automate deployment and management of IBM MQ servers.
- Work with application owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions in AWS.
- Continuously improve software engineering practices
- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
- Serve as the technical integration lead for major initiatives, partnering with software, data and infrastructure teams to ensure interoperability and performance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations
- At least 3 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
- Experience with Kubernetes And Containerization.
- Experience with AI tooling.
- Experience developing integration frameworks or reusable components used across multiple teams or applications
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, NewRelic) to ensure integration reliability and performance

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Integration Engineer 4
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
