Full Job Description
As an OT&A Integration and Testing Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering the North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven (NTB) Transformation Project. You will lead the governance and coordination of testing activities related to terminal automation and operational technology deployments. Working closely with operations, engineering, IT, OT teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders, you will ensure that complex technology solutions, system integrations, and operational processes are validated and ready for successful deployment into live terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the Integration and Testing Strategy for automation and operational technology deployments across the NTB Transformation Project.
  • Develop and maintain Test Plans, testing governance frameworks, schedules, acceptance criteria, and reporting standards throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate end-to-end testing activities, including factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, interface testing, system integration testing, operational scenario testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and operational readiness testing.
  • Establish requirement-to-test traceability across business requirements, system requirements, operational processes, safety requirements, and technical interfaces.
  • Lead integration planning across terminal operating systems, equipment control systems, crane automation, remote control systems, OCR solutions, automated equipment, OT infrastructure, and industrial networks.
  • Manage defect governance processes, including prioritisation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, retesting, and escalation of unresolved risks.
  • Coordinate testing activities between internal teams, vendors, solution providers, and terminal stakeholders to ensure delivery against project requirements.
  • Maintain testing evidence, readiness assessments, acceptance documentation, and go-live validation materials.
  • Support transition into business-as-usual operations through knowledge transfer, documentation handover, and lessons learned.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in automation, systems integration, testing, commissioning, OT, or complex industrial technology environments.
  • Experience leading integration or testing workstreams within multi-vendor project environments.
  • Proven experience developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, defect management processes, and readiness validation activities.
  • Experience in container terminals, industrial automation, logistics automation, or other complex live operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of terminal operating systems and equipment control systems, preferably Navis N4 or equivalent.
  • Experience with PLC-based automation systems, Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal, WinCC, Ignition, industrial communication protocols, OT networks, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience using structured test and defect management tools, preferably Jira and Xray or equivalent solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently across project, vendor, and operational environments.
  • English proficiency is required; German proficiency is preferred.
