Systems Protection is a $3 billion segment, which offers solutions that connect and protect critical controls around the world while ensuring maximum productivity.  We develop innovative products in areas such as data center & networking solutions, electrical enclosure solutions and electrical safety.

Position Summary:

Important role within the Systems Protection Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) teams, leading the Finance business partnership for our manufacturing facility in San Diego, CA. The position is the financial lead for the site including ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining appropriate controls.  In addition, this position is a key partner to the location leadership team and provides analytical support for strategic investments and cost savings opportunities.  The successful leader in this role will drive performance, accountability and predictability within the San Diego facility (office environment with exposure to plant activity).

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Provide Finance support to the Plant Leader and his/her organization, assuring awareness of gaps to targets and offering alternate paths to achieving commitments.
• Drive accountability for achieving ISC performance metrics. Act as the Financial conscience of the San Diego organization.
• Maintain and improve upon a reporting and analysis architecture that provides timely, accurate and relevant information to ISC decision makers.
• Lead the annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts for the San Diego facility.
• Provide financial support to the ISC strategic planning effort.
• Lead the location CAPEX process, including financial analysis and prioritization of alternative investments, make vs. buy analysis etc., maximizing ROI.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field
• Previous experience in cost accounting/manufacturing finance strongly preferred
• 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• CPA/CMA is a plus
• Intense desire to succeed and overcome challenges

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficient in all other Microsoft Office Products (WORD, PowerPoint)

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
