Insurance Manager - Savannah, GAAs an Insurance Manager at MacroSource, you will play a key role in overseeing the company's global insurance program, including insurance strategy, risk transfer, policy administration, claims management, compliance, and relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and other risk-management partners. This role serves as a key advisor to Finance, Legal, Operations, Treasury, Human Resources, and C-level leadership on insurance and risk matters. The Insurance Manager works to ensure the company maintains appropriate and cost-effective insurance coverage while identifying opportunities to reduce risk, improve coverage, and optimize the overall insurance program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's corporate insurance portfolio, including property, casualty, general liability, auto, workers' compensation, cyber, D&O, E&O, environmental, marine, trade, credit, crime, umbrella/excess liability, and other specialty coverages.
- Develop and maintain the company's overall insurance strategy in coordination with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and senior management.
- Review coverage limits, deductibles, exclusions, endorsements, and policy terms to ensure appropriate protection of company assets and operations.
- Coordinate annual insurance renewals, including preparation of underwriting submissions, exposure data, loss information, and financial information.
- Negotiate with brokers and insurance carriers regarding pricing, coverage, deductibles, terms, and conditions.
- Review contractual insurance requirements and assist Legal with insurance requirements are maintained.
- Oversee the company's insurance claims process from initial notification through resolution.
- Work closely with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, Legal, Human Resources, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective claims management.
- Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting Risk Management, Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, treasury, finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of commercial property and casualty insurance, liability coverage, workers' compensation, excess/umbrella liability, and specialty insurance products.
- Experience managing insurance renewals, claims, brokers, and insurance carriers.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate insurance costs, exposures, deductibles, and risk-transfer alternatives.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives, Legal Finance, Operations, and external insurance partners.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multinational insurance programs.
- Experience supporting M&A due diligence and integration.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, or other financial/risk management systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, agriculture, energy, logistics, or other asset-intensive environment.
