Operate independently with minimal supervision in a 10-person boutique environment, targeting approximately 100 billable hours per month
Manage direct client relationships with sophisticated institutional policyholders from early on in your tenure
Work closely with corporate and tech-company clients to develop coverage strategy, tender decisions, and policy procurement considerations
Litigate coverage disputes in California state and federal courts, handling depositions, motions, and court filings
Take ownership of matters from intake through resolution, including drafting coverage opinions, reservation of rights responses, and demand letters
Key requirements:
Active California bar admission (non-negotiable)
1-4 years of civil litigation experience; insurance coverage experience a plus
Policyholder-side coverage experience preferred; defense-side coverage also considered
