Controls & Instrumentation Lead

Location: Cincinnati, OH

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

We're looking for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Lead to help lead and manage a project scope. This role will work directly with the clients to understand the project needs and help manage and direct the execution of the engineering deliverables.

  • Manage discipline aspects of projects from inception through execution
  • Develop and document the scope of work
  • Create and update schematics, termination drawings, or loop sheets for instrument wiring
  • Design custom control panels to meet the project need
  • Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators
  • Create datasheets and work with vendors to get quotes for instrumentation and valves for various applications
  • Coordinate with engineering team to select the appropriate devices
  • Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
  • Develop and track project costs
  • Identify, document, and communicate changes to scope
  • Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
  • Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
  • Review and manage all project deliverables
  • Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the project
  • PLC & HMI Programming

  • Experienced Controls engineer on major capital projects from the study phase, detailed design, construction support, check out and start-up.
  • Oversees project execution to ensure completion and client satisfaction
  • Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
  • Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
