Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II in our
Los Angeles office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Here's why we need you:In this role, you will be responsible for establishing criteria for industrial systems, including determining applicable codes, selecting controllers for various applications, and establishing hazardous are boundaries. Position is also responsible for developing system routing options; coordinating and implementing the layout of industrial systems and equipment; and, monitoring, interpreting, and conducting tests of Programmable Logic Controllers/distributed control system.
Expertise of our most successful Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II:- BSEE/ME/ChemE or equivalent experience.
- Strong commitment to service excellence.

- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent perceptual, conceptual, and interpretive skills.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective working in team environments as well as individually.
- 2+ years of experience specializing in Building, Process, and/or Industrial control design roles.
- Hands-on PLC programming and user interface development.
- Common process and industrial mechanical systems and related control instrumentation and equipment, (pumping, flow, valves, pressure, temperature, tanks, batching, blending, etc.).
- Experience with industrial control networks and communication protocols.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, field surveys, limited commissioning and startup support.
Effective skills to help you flourish:- Experience with CAD or BIM drafting software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD P&ID, Plant 3D, Revit.
- Allen Bradley Control/Compact Logix platform integration.
- Wonderware and System Platform integration experience.
- Experience with building automation systems.
