Major/Essential Functions- Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings.
- Works in close conjunction with Orthopaedic department chair and PM&R faculty to develop a long-term PM&R division strategic plan.
- Provides patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Performs outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG.
- Develops rehabilitation protocols at the UMC of El Paso Hospital for patients requiring rehab services
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
- Serves the academic community through participations with committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
- Upholds and promotes the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
Preferred Qualifications- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Board certification by the American Board Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the rank of Assistant Professor or higher
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications- M.D. or D.O. Degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Texas medical licensure or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
