Build the sales team you always wished you were on
You crushed it at the door or on the phones. You know what a real leaderboard feels like, what it takes to get a new rep to their first big week, and why the first five minutes after a lead comes in decide everything. Now you want a seat where that experience runs the whole show.
This is that seat. Glide is hiring an Inside Sales Manager to own the phones, the team, and the numbers.
The job in four lines
1. Culture / Team Development. You set the tone for the culture, you live our core values of Being Good and Doing Good, and you hold your reps to the same standard. Reps get coached regularly, they know where they stand, and they get better over time.
2. Every lead gets called the minute it comes in. Not in an hour. Not after lunch. Now.
3. We never miss a call. If a customer picks up the phone, someone on this team answers it.
4. Every lead becomes the most valuable job it can be. We quote the whole home, we sell the recurring plan, and we treat every lead like it cost real money to earn, because it did.
Everything else in this posting is in service of those four.
The role
You own inside sales. The team, the metrics, the coaching, the hiring, and the results are yours. This is a player-coach seat: you carry your own quota and set the pace. You will be holding the line on the metrics that matter and building the team from here.
You are inheriting momentum, a strong tech stack, and an owner who wants to hand you the keys.
What you will do
- Win the first five minutes. Every new lead gets a call within five minutes during business hours, and no inbound call rings out. You watch the board, close the gaps the same day, and own both numbers.
- Run a tight pipeline. Every open opportunity has a next step and a recent touch. Nobody quoted goes more than 24 hours without a follow-up. You run the daily pipeline review and you keep it honest.
- Get the most out of every lead. Reps quote the full scope, not just the front windows, and lead with the recurring plan. You coach to revenue per lead and average ticket, not just close rate, and you make sure a good lead never turns into a small job because nobody asked.
- Coach like it matters. Listen to recorded calls every day, use the AI call scoring to find the moments that swing a deal, and run 1:1s and huddles that actually change what reps do on the next call. You are on the floor, not behind a door.
- Recruit and ramp. Find the next great rep, interview them, and get them producing fast. Own the playbook and keep it sharp.
- Keep the data clean. Our CRM drives commissions, marketing spend, and the scoreboard. Won deals get signed quotes, signed quotes get marked won, and lead source gets captured. You make sure it is right.
- Sell. Carry your own weekly quota so you stay sharp and set the standard. You are measured on it like every rep, and it steps down as your team grows.
- Report up. One weekly summary to the owner: leads, calls, close rate, revenue sold, and what you are changing. You bring answers, not just numbers.
What winning looks like in 90 days
- Lead response time under five minutes and holding, missed inbound calls at zero, with the alerts going to you instead of the owner.
- Zero quoted opportunities older than 24 hours without a follow-up.
- Every rep on a written development plan with a weekly coaching cadence.
- Team close rate, average ticket, and revenue per lead all up against the prior quarter, with more customers on recurring plans.
- Your own weekly quota hit while running the floor. Your number is on the same board as everyone else's.
Who we are looking for
- A former top door-to-door or inside sales rep. Summer sales, pest, solar, alarms, roofing, or windows. You knocked, you closed, and you finished near the top of the board. Tell us your numbers.
- Someone who has led reps. At least one season or year running a team: hiring, training, daily accountability, and getting average reps to produce.
- Someone who knows inside sales by the numbers. Speed to lead, missed-call rate, contact rate, set rate, close rate, average ticket, revenue per lead, cost per acquisition. You know the five-minute rule and why it matters, and you have run a team against those KPIs.
- A real coach. You have taken an average rep and made them good, and you can explain exactly how.
- Fluent with a modern CRM and dialer. We run GoHighLevel, a browser softphone, call recording with AI scoring, and a live sales dashboard. You will pick ours up fast.
- Comfortable with numbers. You read a funnel, spot the leak, and fix it.
- Direct, kind, and consistent. You hold standards without drama.
- Available Monday through Friday, roughly 8am to 6pm Mountain, in our Orem office with a sales floor to run.
Why this is a great seat
- The leads are already flowing. You are not building demand. You are converting it, and turning each one into the biggest job it can be. There is more of it every month.
- The tools are unusually good for a company this size. Real-time dashboards, automated follow-up, AI call scoring, and alerts that tell you exactly where the problems are. You spend your time coaching, not hunting for data.
- Your pay grows with your team. Base salary plus commission. Every rep you lift moves your number.
- You get to build it. A team that is growing across four states, a direct line to the owner, and a real say in how the sales org gets built.
- The upside is real. Glide is expanding market by market. Lots of growth opportunities.
