Cadence Technologies is seeking exceptional candidates who thrive in fast paced work environments supporting our clients by supplying various sanitary process equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, hoses, and associated repair parts.

The Inside Sales Team Manager leads and develops a high-performing inside sales team responsible for generating revenue, managing customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery for sanitary process equipment and components. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with team management and strategic account development.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train inside sales representatives.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Set individual and team sales targets and monitor progress against KPIs.
  • Create and implement professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Sales Management
  • Manage the team's pipeline development and forecasting.
  • Oversee account assignments and responsibilities to ensure work is distributed evenly across the team.
  • Manage out-of-office coverage to maintain client support and response times.
  • Ensure consistent sales methodologies and processes are followed.
  • Review and analyze win/loss data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.


Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts and assist with complex or high-value opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention metrics are met.
  • Address escalated customer issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support timely and efficient order processing.


Process & Systems
  • Manage CRM administration and data integrity.
  • Monitor and optimize the use of sales tools and technology.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Process client credit card purchases for sales orders.
  • Maintain organization of the Cadence Distribution Inbox.
  • Oversee pricing and equipment requests from Design Group.


Market & Product Knowledge
  • Maintain strong expertise in sanitary process components and industry standards.
  • Manage the inside sales team's training schedule to develop product knowledge in key subject areas relevant to Cadence's client base and leading manufacturers.
  • Stay current on industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.


Vendor & Manufacturer Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the sales team and vendor partners.
  • Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and demand forecasts with manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, volume discounts, and promotional support.
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and service agreements.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers and manufacturers to expand product offerings.
  • Address supply chain issues and escalate inventory or availability concerns.
  • Participate in vendor quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
  • Collect and share new product information with the sales team.
  • Support co-marketing initiatives and joint customer presentations with manufacturers.


Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of inside sales experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience leading or supervising a sales team.
  • Relevant sanitary process industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
