Job Summary

The Senior Specialist of Infrastructure Performance supports operational excellence across Infrastructure functions, including Facilities and Design & Construction, through the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and departmental standards; management of official source data and data audits; full cycle vendor management; and coordination of strategic initiatives on behalf of leadership. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external service providers to improve consistency, accountability, compliance, service delivery, and overall departmental performance.

The Senior Specialist coordinates initiatives aligned with organizational priorities, including cost reduction, sustainability, process improvement, operational standardization, and performance optimization. This role serves as a key resource in maintaining reliable infrastructure data, supporting vendor accountability, strengthening departmental processes, and advancing leadership priorities through disciplined coordination and follow-through.

Job Specific Duties

  • Develops, implements, updates, and maintains Infrastructure policies, procedures, workflows, and departmental standards to support consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness across Facilities and Design & Construction.
  • Maintains official source data for Infrastructure operations, projects, vendors, and related performance records; performs audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Develops, maintains, and distributes reports, dashboards, scorecards, logs, and summaries used to monitor departmental, project, and vendor performance.
  • Manages the full cycle vendor management process, including coordination of onboarding requirements, performance tracking, issue documentation, follow-up, and support of vendor review activities.
  • Monitors vendor and service provider performance related to responsiveness, quality, timeliness, compliance, and service outcomes; escalates issues and coordinates corrective action follow-up as needed.
  • Coordinates strategic initiatives on behalf of leadership, including initiatives related to cost reduction, sustainability, process improvement, standardization, and operational performance.
  • Conducts research on best practices for sustainability materials, process, technologies, policies, and programs in a healthcare setting looking for ways to incorporate sustainable practices into operations and capital projects.
  • Partners with Facilities, Design & Construction, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to support standards implementation, reporting, vendor oversight, and initiative execution.
  • Reviews the status of assigned initiatives, vendor activities, and performance measures; identifies next steps to ensure milestones, action items, and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Conducts research and benchmarking related to healthcare infrastructure best practices, operational performance, vendor management, sustainability, and service optimization.
  • Prepares presentations, summaries, communications, and recommendations for leadership regarding performance trends, initiative progress, and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Supports implementation, communication, and training related to new or revised departmental procedures, standards, and workflows.
  • Supports audit readiness, documentation review, and follow-up related to compliance, operational standards, and performance improvement efforts .


Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations, Sustainability, or a related field (OR) 10 years of experience in related field
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in Facilities, Design & Construction, healthcare operations, infrastructure support, vendor management, process improvement, data management, performance reporting, or a related field


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience supporting Facilities, Design & Construction, or related infrastructure functions.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, SOPs, and operational standards.
  • Experience maintaining official source data, conducting data audits, and validating operational or project-related data.
  • Experience with full cycle vendor management, including onboarding, performance monitoring, issue escalation, corrective action follow-up, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives on behalf of leadership.
  • Familiarity with cost reduction, process improvement, standardization, and sustainability initiatives in a facilities or construction setting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
