Infrastructure + Mobility Group Manager - Grow and Expand Our North Carolina Transportation Practice

North Carolina | Transportation Engineering | Senior Leadership Role

Are you a strategic transportation leader with a passion for infrastructure, business development, and team building? Fisher Associates is seeking an Infrastructure + Mobility Group Manager to help establish and grow our transportation practice in the North Carolina market. What You'll Do as an Infrastructure + Mobility Group Manager
  • Proactively pursue new business with existing and prospective clients by delivering exceptional service, promoting Fisher's capabilities, building lasting relationships.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic business plans.
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring priorities are aligned and deadlines are met.
  • Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
  • Lead and prepare winning project proposals and serve as primary client contact throughout project delivery.
  • Proactively identify, monitor, and resolve technical, schedule, or financial issues.
  • Successfully lead and manage a team across multiple locations.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, motivated team with strong morale.
  • Mentor staff in technical development, leadership, and client engagement.
  • Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and coach employees to support career growth.
  • Navigate and support complex public processes and municipal approvals.

Requirements

What You Bring, Your Expertise as an Infrastructure + Mobility Group
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 15+ years minimum in transportation civil engineering design
  • Professional Engineering License (PE)
  • 10 years minimum of project management experience
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to use metrics and data to drive performance and results.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven client relationship and business development success in the transportation sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads a plus
  • Thorough understanding of transportation project development and delivery, including NCDOT, agency, and locally administered federal-aid projects.
  • Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, including roadway or bridge design and regulatory standards.
