The Infrastructure Delivery Cluster Manager will lead network capacity delivery with zero defects. Manage inbound capacity and equipment implementation. Develop and direct a team of professionals. Administer budgets. Provide strategic leadership and technical direction. Supervise network equipment and infrastructure installation. Lead low voltage structured cabling initiatives across AWS data centers.
Key job responsibilities
- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching, and creating documentation.
- Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages
- Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
- Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
- Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
- Provide weekly report to the data center manager
- Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Host weekly staff meetings
- Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
- Up to 10-20% travel
This role supports data centers in various operational stages. The position may be assigned to a facility still under development, which could require travel to established locations for training until your designated site becomes fully operational.
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility
Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in technical work related to computer systems and technology components
- 5+ years management experience in operations, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
- 3+ years' experience implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (continuous improvement, DMAIC/DVADV, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc.)
- 7+ Years of experience in working with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, and experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies within a data center-based environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with system management tools and client/server environments
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Up to 10-20% travel
- Good team, organizational and planning skills, as well as stringent time management skills to balance dynamic workloads in a complex and dynamic environment.
- In-depth hardware architectures knowledge and troubleshooting experience
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
